High school and college-aged students, community organizations and individuals can take a walking tour of one of Rumpke’s Material Recovery Facilities. The tour begins with a brief history of the company and an overview of what can and can’t be recycled. Participants will then travel through the plant to watch as recyclable are sorted out by type by a variety of technologies.
Before scheduling a tour, here is some important information:

Tours take place during the work week only

Tours are during normal business hours

Tours last approximately one hour

Tours are free of charge

Tours are only available to individuals 13 years of age or older

Tours are conducted year round, weather permitting

Tour participants will have to climb several series of stairs

As a safety precaution, all tour participants must wear closed toe shoes
