- Customers from the first 6-month session must renew their subscription to ensure uninterrupted service.

Please Note: The cost remains the same no matter when a resident signs-up. Payment must be made in advance and is non-refundable and non-transferable.
How to Sign-up:
- Call Rumpke at 1-888-786-7531. Payment is due at the time of sign-up.
- Download Sign-up Form. Then, mail completed form along with payment to Rumpke.
- Renewals - simply pay the invoice sent to your residence.

- Credit card by phone (convenience fee will apply)
- Renewals Only - Pay Online
Unfortunately, new yard waste customers are unable to pay online.
Yard Waste Guidelines and FAQ:
- Will the City honor its contract with Rumpke for the entire 6-month session from mid-October 2009 to mid-April 2010?
Yes, the City will honor its one-year contract with Rumpke for subscription yard waste service. Residents are encouraged to sign-up before the autumn leaves begin to fall.

- What is considered yard waste?
Yard waste typically consists of organic waste generated during regular household gardening and landscaping activities, such as grass clippings, leaves, twigs, branches, shrubbery and other garden residues.
- How should yard waste be prepared?
Loose Material: Place it in biodegradable (paper) bags or rigid containers marked “Yard Waste.” Bags are generally available for purchase at home improvement or grocery retail stores. Please do not line the paper bags with plastic bags.
Branches: Cut branches to less than 4 feet in length. Tie the branches into bundles with string or twine. The diameter of each bundle should not exceed 2 feet.
Weight Restrictions: Each container, bag or bundle must weigh less than 50 pounds. Containers meeting this requirement will likely have a 30-35 gallon capacity.
Unacceptable Items: Examples include rocks, dirt and plastic bags. Please call Rumpke if you are uncertain about a type of material.
- Is there a weekly limit for collection?
Each household may set out up to 15 bags, containers or bundles each week for collection, and all must meet the guidelines listed above. Additional bags will require a special tag, available for purchase for $1 per tag at any of the Central Ohio Kurtz Bros. locations:

- When is my collection day?
→ For new customers, Rumpke will follow the same collection as we had during the previous contract. Please call Rumpke at 1-888-786-7531 if you need to verify your collection day.
→ For renewing customers, your yard waste day will be the same as the past six months.
During 2007 and 2008, Rumpke collected more than 55,000 tons of yard waste from Columbus residents, including nearly 3,000 tons of debris after the hurricane-like windstorm in September 2008.
