Holiday Collection Schedule
Rumpke Waste & Recycling is the official waste removal and curbside recycling provider for City of Marietta residents and businesses. Rumpke began trash and recycling services for Marietta on July 1, 2008.
Residential Service Options
Marietta residents may choose from the following service options. Rates are available by calling Rumpke at 1-800-828-8171.
- Standard Service
This option includes weekly garbage removal from one 33-gallon container (plastic or metal) provided by the customer. It also includes weekly recycling collection from the recycling bin provided by Rumpke Recycling. Any trash additional to the 33-gallon container must be placed in a garbage bag next to the trash container with a Rumpke sticker attached to each bag. Stickers cost $3 and are available for purchase at Greenleaf Landscapes. Extra garbage bags cannot exceed 33-gallons.
- Waste Wheeler Service
This option includes weekly garbage removal, but residents receive a wheeled plastic cart from Rumpke, called a waste wheeler. Like standard service stickers must be placed on each garbage bag additional to the waste wheeler.
- "Backyard" Service
Please call Rumpke at 1-800-828-8171 if you require "backyard" service. Additional fees apply to this special service.
Making an Online Payment
Marietta residents may pay their bi-monthly invoice from Rumpke by check, credit card, online or in-person at Greenleaf Landscapes. Payments made over the phone with a credit card will be charged a convenience fee.
Curbside Recycling Information
Marietta residents receive weekly curbside recycling service. Please click on the following links to learn more.
After collecting the recycling, Rumpke Recycling transports the materials to ReBay, a local recycling company in Marietta, for sorting and processing.
Preparing Materials
All trash must fit within your 33-gallon garbage container. Please place a Rumpke sticker on each additional bag. Place your trash and recycling at your designated collection spot the evening before or by 4:30 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.
Yard Waste
Marietta residents may dispose of yard waste for free at Greenleaf Landscapes. Yard waste includes grass clippings, tree trimmings, garden residues, shrubbery, composting and other plant waste generated from gardening and landscaping. Please contact Greenleaf Landscapes for facts about proper preparation of yard waste materials.
